Description: Based on the idea of the Golden Section, an ancient mathematical concept derived from geometry in nature. The vertical sculpture consists of three leaf shaped panels painted orange on one side and yellow on the other suggesting seasonal color change. The leaves are staggered at alternating angles and in order to create the illusion of a twirling leaf, they spiral up the central axis. A kinetic wind-driven piece tops the sculpture and visually extends the twirling motion into the sky. The 23 foot steel sculpture is supported by a base of crushed granite and formed steel.
